What does 'rolling' mean?

'Rolling' when used in Enquiries and Campaigns allows the reports you have built to continue updating as you require them, this is used in conjunction with saving them to always provide you with the most up-to-date relevant data as you need it.

If for example you made an Enquiry with a date period of January to June with the date ranges set to 'rolling for both periods', then once we moved into the next month, it would show February to July data automatically instead and continue in the same structure month after month.

rolling dates explaination

When rolling periods, you have three options:

Not Rolling: Does not move either the start or end date of the report forward, so, no matter what month you're looking at the report in, the search dates remain the same. It is is a static date range. This is the default option unless changed.

Example: Once July has arrived and you relook at the January to June campaign, you would still only see data from January to June. (Neither period would have rolled to the next month).

Roll the end period: Rolls the report end date forward one month in time. The start date will remain unaltered.

Example: Once June has finished and July has arrived and you relook at the report, you would now see updated data from January to July.

Roll both periods: Rolls both the start and end date of the report forward in time.

Example: Once July has arrived and you relook at the campaign, you would now see updated data from February to July.
